Work Elimination
Competitive data shows large organizations that are not effective,
efficient or productive have too many layers and small spans
of control.
The majority of organizations contemplate cost reduction
by just asking managers to cut jobs by “x%”. This works as
a diet in which, it trims fat in short-term, but after a
few months it adds up again as work was not eliminated.
De-layering is a structured process that focuses on identifying
the root cause and value-add of each layer to focus on cutting
unnecessary work (e.g.: checking the checkers, paperwork
bureaucracy, etc). It sets a foundation for a leaner, flexible
and more focused organization.
